DIY deep conditioners for natural hair


Deep conditioning your real hair is as important as shampooing it regularly but sometimes it is often ignored by many people. The fact is that your hair needs to be hydrated in order to grow healthy and strong. Also, moisturizing your hair is not as complicating and time-consuming as you might think if you know how to do it. By using natural ingredients in your kitchen, you can totally make your own conditioner in minutes. Here are some of the great recipe for hair that you can make by yourself at home.

Honey deep conditioner

Honey is not just an amazing ingredient for your skin and body but also your hair. You will need

  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • ¼ cup of olive oil.

Mix these two things together and heat it in the microwave for about 5 minutes then it’s good to go. When you want to use this combination, apply it on your hair, cover your head with a cap and leave it for 15 to 30 minutes. It will amaze you with the result if you can use it regularly. Your hair will absolutely look lustrous and silky.

 Greek yogurt for breakage

As you know that Greek yogurt is rich in protein which is super beneficial to your hair. Once your hair is damaged and broken, you will need to supply it with protein to strengthen the hair by adding protein into the follicles. Also, Greek yogurt contains fatty acids which help to hydrate your vulnerable hair strands. It will be such a bonus if you can mix this with castor oil and eggs which prevent your hair from losing moisture, breaking and add up even more protein. What you will need:

  • 1 cup of Greek yogurt (no sugar)
  • 1 tbsp castor oil
  • 1tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 whipped egg

Put Greek yogurt into a bowl and whip it nicely until smooth. Pour all the rest of ingredients into the bowl and stir well. You can use it when your hair is damp, apply it on your hair and leave it for at least 1 hour. Rinse it off with running water after that.

Banana deep conditioner

This kind of conditioner is the best to treat dry hair because it is full of vitamins, especially vitamin A. That it is combined with olive oil and Greek yogurt will boost its effect even more due to the fact that olive oil will lock moist into your hair and Greek yogurt is a source of protein to help soften dry hair strands. You will need:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey

Blend smoothly banana and olive oil in the blender then add up the remaining ingredients. Combining them well together until it is nicely mixed. This mixture can be used by applying on wet hair and leave for 30 minutes before rinsing it off.
